Dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPNs) are a harmless skin growth, basically a variant of another benign growth called a seborrheic keratosis. But DPNs are more common in darker skin tones. They’re totally benign, so no treatment is required. But if you want them removed for cosmetic purposes, we typically use electrocautery, or snip them off.
