My ex taught our kids to say Ms or Mr but my parents didn’t make us use titles, so I didn’t think anything of it. But I like that my kids do it lol They ain’t gotta say ma’am or sir tho 🤷🏽♀️

Grew up in the 60s with a mom who couldn’t stand to be called Mrs anything! She’d say my name is Laverne, call me that!

No. I have never had to call an older cousin, cousin so and so. I'm 31. Not teaching my daughter that either. But she will address elders as ma'am sir.

As a childcare worker, the kids call me Ms Antoinette but I don’t mind if they simply call me my name. I guess it’s just something you have to care about tbh
