most of these fathers lived through the same, and often, worse. behind most distant/bad fathers, is an abused and neglected boy. it doesn't excuse them, but I somewhat better understand my father.

When I realized my father was more broken then how he broke us. When I understand that he wasn't allowed to speak or show his emotions. That he was abandoned by his father as a child. I accepted him
