delta is simply put how much the option price will change for a $1 move in underlying. eg. 0.5 delta means for $1 share price move option will increase $50

and im assuming its the same for puts as well, 0.05 delta on a call is equivalent to a -0.05 for a put?

I don't have an intuitive explanation for this but ATM option's are .5, but once they go ITM they move $ for $, so delta switches from rate of change to probability basically.

Literally only the last sentence made centssss to me basically delta explains the % of in the money or if the contract is worth it… the higher the delta the better ?
