Vegan BIPOC creators tagged below 👇🏼 Setting the record straight because too many people arguing “veganism is white” could use some perspective imo. This video idea originally started out as a way to honor Asian Heritage Month in my own way, by talking about veganism from an East Asian lens. But I really was drawn to taking a more holistic approach and I wanted to include other cultures in this conversation too. I’ll definitely make a video in the future talking more specifically about the connections between veganism and Asian culture, religion, and values. BIPOC vegan creators I love and recommend following for a larger worldview: - @heyashleyrenne - has a great series talking about veganism and its history in the black community - @hiilanilily - Native Hawaiian shedding light on indigenous perspective. Get your learnings from the source. - @brownfeministvegan - they share easy-to-digest pieces on veganism, particularly in the context of leftist spaces - @tinyleafbyvictoria - i’m so downbad for her cooking. Truly authentic Chinese food, all vegan. There’s sooo many more incredible creators that I’d love to add to this list, but hopefully this gives you a good place to start :) #veganism #asianvegans #blackvegans #indigineousvegans #latinxvegans
