@thetastebud: Cheesy mayo mussels are an easy and addictive holiday appetizer. These Chinese buffet inspired baked mussels are creamy and meaty and are ready in less than half an hour. I know for some the idea of cheese and seafood might sound bizarre to some, but if you’ve ever had lobster Mac and cheese or smoked salmon and cream cheese, you know this cheesy mayo mixture perfectly complements the tender and chewy texture of a baked mussel Ingredients 12-16 mussels in the half shell (usually found in a box at the Asian market, these are found frozen and are already blanched so they just need to be finished in the oven) 1/3 cup Japanese mayo 2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp sriracha 1 tsp sugar Tobiko and sliced green onions for garnish 1. Set the oven to 350°. Rinse and thoroughly dry the mussels with paper towels. Arrange on a baking sheet. 2. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and top each mussel with 1/2 tbsp of mixture. 3. Bake in oven for 12 minutes. Broil on high for 1 minute and remove from oven. 4. Top with Tobiko and green onions to serve. #bakedmussels #holidayrecipes #foodtiktok
