Tips for getting a pre-teen to clean up after themself? They often forget to. I would use the BratBusters Behaviour Board, and have a consequence if they don’t. Their rule can be something specific like your dirty clothes go in the hamper and nowhere else or dishes go in the dishwasher within five minutes of finishing a meal. Make it timed and specific. The world runs with consequences in place. Remember, there’s no shame in making a mistake, but be there to hold your kids (and yourself) accountable. That’s how we learn.
