just worked on similar carb. the float assembly oring was shot allowing gas to flow into carb bypassing the needle and seat.

Had the same exact one on our farm and we’ve tried to fix it like 5 times but it only will run on half choke haha

Most won’t idle down if they don’t have a battery or a good charge.

it won't idle down if the battery is dead. have a similar one will.never come to idle on a bad battery

I try to clean those carb once. Set everything and if it still doesn’t work. Straight in the garbage. Such a pain.

Does the float have a small hole in it, causing it to fill with gas? You don’t see it much anymore but use to really see it with the Brass floats back in the day. But doesn’t mean it can’t happen!

I also say someone else was screwing with the engine when I mess it up bad enough to have to take it somewhere and don't wanna seem like an idiot😂😂

its probably a nikki carb and those are absolutely junk. just put a new one on. they are cheap. those float plates suck. and never seal.

Take that carb and whip it in the garbage!! That's pretty much the protocol around here with small engines!! You'll be time and money ahead.... especially in the long run with a new carb.

I always brake kleen for my first check. Engines sucking air from other places they not supposed to make them flood and hunt in most cases. Vtwin Kawasaki engine has bad gasket and loose bolts on
