@cj.filmed.it: Learn Videography in 15 Seconds - ep.4 Cutting on action or matching on action is a very simple but effective shot technique where you spread a movement or action across 2 or more shots. It’s very easy to achieve and can be done either with multi-cam or just by repeating the action multiple times from different angles. Once you have your footage, mark the point where you feel the cut needs to happen in the first shot, find the same point in the next shot and splice them together at this point. The beauty of this technique is it requires very little in terms of editing skill but can really elevate a scene by helping move the story along naturally and turn a very ordinary shot into something a bit more interesting.
