Let’s see how we can create this triple clone effect using After Effects. 👥 The only tool we’re gonna need is the rotobrush. It allows us to easily create an animated mask So all we have to do is to draw the outline of our subject on the first frame of the clip. Once you’re satisfied with the outline, go to the end of the sequence and let After Effects animate your mask. Check if there’s any mistake and if it’s good, select “Freeze” Now we’re gonna duplicate this clip two times and remove the mask on the bottom clip, to get our background back. The other two layers are gonna be our clones. To animate them, we go to the transform section with the scale, position and rotationa and we only activate the position keyframes. Create a first keyframe at the start of the clip with the current position and a second keyframe a few frames later placing the subject on the right We do the exact same process with the other clone but this time, we place the clone on the left. And if you wanna add motion blur you can check this box.
