Low pop is in my opinion the best DayZ experience, much fewer encounters but so much more tense. Feels more real.

First time playing I ran around town to town for probably 2 hours and only found a sporter 22 never heard a single gunshot or saw anyone. Walk into one building and go to the top floor looking for food and there’s a guy laying on the floor and smoked me as soon as I opened the door. Shit game

Let me tell something. I was in a server that was a 10x on Sakhal. There was only me and one other. I walked for virtual miles and found him in a small shack, dying and confused about the frozen food mechanic. We made a fire and told some jokes, but food got low, and his leg was broken. He was ok with me eating him. His last words were ‘This is how you play, friend. Not every battle can be won.’ Beautiful. 😔

playing dayz as a proper survival game is actually pretty chill, add hardcore namalsk into the mix with AI and your set for a few hundred hours easily

Bro I love low pop with all my heart. It feels like how dayz should be played. Explanation: It’s a zombie apocalypse bro, be so fr, how many people would you ACTUALLY see. Plus it’s just so must more stressful when you actually do encounter anything. It’s so fun because if you invite a friend you get to goof around with the balance of real gameplay. Especially playing low pop on minimal mod servers or vanilla, it really balances out the lack of players by allowing you to get more stuff and have a better time in general! (This is coming from someone who has about 2,500 hours in solo dayz, and about another 1,300 in high/mid pop servers)!!! ♥️
