If you freeze the new race and put heat on the hub it will drop right in the hub so you don’t have to pound so much.

Trick I use while putting races in, dad taught me. Find a socket that slides right inside the hub, and tap with a hammer and it goes down evenly and I don’t worry about holding a punch!

Cool trick I use when doing bearings if you take the old race and cut a slit in it with an angle grinder you can use it to drive the new one in

You need to invest in one of these. Game changer for packing bearings and does it in seconds.

When I put them together leave cap off pump it full of grease come out the outer bearing but cap on then slide a small o ring pick under seal grease till grease starts to come out done there full

I put grease fittings in if there is none drill and tap it
