When to actually start solids with your baby 🌮 Just because your doc gave you the green light doesn’t necessarily mean you need to plop baby in a high chair and start offering finger foods - most 4 month olds don’t have the foundational skills to support themselves upright in a high chair to start solids safely. BUT, introducing allergens early is an important consideration for when to give baby their first foods. Here’s my “meet in the middle” solution for parents who are nervous about starting and/or recognize their baby isn’t ready for a high chair yet.
