The Foundation's role is to protect the ecosystem's long-term interests and provide governance, while organizations such as InterLink Labs are expected to focus on building products, generating revenue, managing their treasury, and executing their strategies. The Reverse Auction is therefore only one mechanism within a much larger transition toward financial independence, accountability, and sustainable economic activity. And perhaps the most powerful idea is this: The long-term success of an ecosystem shouldn't be measured only by how much it distributes. It should also be measured by how many organizations become strong enough to create value and buy the asset back themselves. That's a very different definition of growth. Not more allocation.
