“Kasalanan ng system.” Yes. 911 is an emergency resource. Imagine someone is having a heart attack while an emergency operator is dealing with a prank call. The government has a responsibility to build a reliable emergency response system. The dispatcher has a responsibility to respond properly. The ambulance crew has a responsibility to be prepared. And the citizen has a responsibility not to abuse the service. DILG itself is currently emphasizing the proper and responsible use of Unified 911 because emergency resources need to remain available for people with genuine emergencies. It’s an argument for both accountability and personal responsibility. Demand a better 911 system. But don’t be the reason someone else’s 911 call gets delayed. Because sometimes we complain that “the system failed us” without realizing: We are also one of the people feeding the system. #pinoyextreme #911 #corruption #mindset #philippines
