This happened to me with the kitchen sink boiler. I left for two hours and came back with water that just started to flood the kitchen floor. If I was away on holiday I'd come back to a similar scene!

I had an issue with a dishwasher leak 6 months ago, destroyed all downstairs! Insurance was amazing, they found builders near me and I’ve had new flooring, skirting, all decorated downstairs etc!

new builds for you! and as a plumber, ideally if you're leaving your property empty you should turn the water off, people don't but I've been to so many floods when people have been on holiday.
