If you are worried about those shallow spots, run over it with a roller if you have one available. That will get some better seed to soil contact and make things nice and smooth as well.

flat sandy ground I no tilled and it was ok I had to replant some of it 2nd field I no tilled did a little better but I wish I would've worked it lightly or something not too happy with it
