Ok for the record, it’s not really about density. It’s about their refractive index which is kinda like how easy it is for light to go through it but not really. This tends to correlate with density but in no way has to. Beside you cant really see pure water. You either see impurities (like minerals, this is why ocean footage clouds up after a few metres) or you see the boundary of the water and air which is visible cause you can tell the difference in refractive index.
