This is a great reference guide on how to place LG Multi V 5 VRF systems into vacuum mode. It’s important to use this setting during repair work such as pressure testing, system recovery, and triple evacuation. Why Vacuum Mode Matters: Vacuum mode ensures the system is fully open across the condenser, HRU boxes, and indoor units. It forces all solenoids and EEVs to open completely, allowing you to work on the entire refrigerant circuit. Requirements for Successful Activation: •	All system components (outdoor unit, HRU boxes, indoor units) must be energized. •	Communication must be normal with no error codes present. •	All indoor unit thermostats must be OFF. If any thermostat is calling for heating or cooling, the setting will fail. Where to Find It: The setting is adjusted at the outdoor unit and identified as “SE3 vacuum mode.” You can also reference it in the LG Multi V 5 Service Manual or the LG HVAC Service App, which are excellent resources for function settings and dip-switch configurations. Extra Tip: Vacuum mode can also be used to exercise EEVs and temporarily lock out thermostats. Steps: 1.	Flip dip switch 5 ON – display shows FUNC. 2.	Press SW03C twice – display shows SVC. 3.	Press SW01C once – display shows SE1. 4.	Press SW03C twice again – display shows SE3. 5.	Press SW01C – display shows vAcc. 6.	Flip dip switch 5 OFF – system is now in vacuum mode (vAcc flashing). 7.	When finished, hit the reset button SW01D. #hvac #hvaclifestyle #vrf #VRF #LG
