My daughter is autistic and if she ever threatened someone or put her hands on someone she knows the consequences that comes with that. Autism may explain the behavior but it NEVER excuses it.

As an autistic, changing scheduals/schools is very overwhelming. Unfamiliar sites and sounds cause most to panic and feel unsafe. However- her tone makes it sound like a threat, and she really just needed to stay home like mom said.

Hey as an elementary behaviorist I have MULTIPLE autistic kiddos I spend time with. It's very easy to tell which ones run their houses and which ones parents still hold accountable. They ALSO have to learn right from wrong. It might just take longer and redirecting. This is not okay at all.

Yes, student should know better only the teachers can threaten the students. Students are not allowed to threaten the teachers because they’re imperial to everybody else.

I say this w/ sincerity for all of you arguing that this girl didn’t make a threat, it’s possible you’re on the spectrum yourself or suffer from some other disorder that might cause you to misinterpret tone & body language. She DEFINITELY threatened that woman. If you can’t see that, I suggest you get yourself evaluated. I’m not being disrespectful, I’m completely serious.
