currently happening here in ararat vic, wanting a permit for every unregistered vehicle you have on your property. people with car collections they want to take them or have u pay a permit.

Hey guys. I know one town in Victoria and that is Whittlesea. I know this first hand because they came to confiscate cars and threatened me with $11,800 a day in fines if I don’t remove two unregistered cars from my property. Mind you my property is 2 acres and these were not rusty old Rex causing an eyesore, though in my project. In the end the council one and I lost approximately $60,000 worth of old Fords and old Bedford project cars. It’s bullshit. The council think they’ve got the right to tell me what I can do on my land.

council is not part of government, Australia had a referendum on it, Australia VOTED NO. ask in writing where does council derive their authority to issue / enforce fines? give them 14 days to report I writing. a financial instrument needs to follow strict rules, a wet ink signature on a contract, did you sign a contract with council?

When Council's start paying your land taxes then they can have a say on your land. How can a Council which is not a government in any way have a say on what you can do on your land. Revenue raising for their incompetent management 🤔
