Hi! So, this is an autistic trait. I am high functioning autistic but my husband still answers my phone for me. Sometimes my brain DOES process the question, but it doesn't process the answer I want to give. The best way I can describe it is like a stutter, but in the brain. I'm not scared to answer. I just have a hard time answering. It even happens in person from time to time. But mostly during phone calls. But this is just my experience. Everyone is different!
