Open the curtain a little and tell them each area to clean in the same order everytime . Then when you feel they are ready watch and see if they remember al the steps. When they can do it with little to no guidance then alone

my son is 4. he has eczema so we avoid baths. he knows where to bathe but he doesn’t know how to apply the pressure.

yes. About 5 you start to teach them. By 6 they should be washing themselves.

My son is 4 almost 5 and he washes his own body. He has been doing it since he was about 3 (at first we just reminded him of the parts to get). We still wash his hair because he sometimes forgets to rinse all the shampoo or conditioner out.

as my kids were growing into older kids, when they were at the age when I still needed to be in the bathroom with them, I'd have them wash themselves. I'd tell them if they did something wrong (like with hair washing) or missed something. once they got to the point where they did everything correct without me having to say anything, they were ready to bathe themselves.

I say the steps out loud from them being babies to toddlers, as toddlers I give them the rag & tell them what to wash & I go behind. My oldest is 8, she takes showers & we’ve been doing that for a little over a year now. Youngest is 5, she gets baths & washes herself.

my daughter bathed herself at 3. I did it first and showed her then she would do it after me. my sons almost 4 and hes no where near ready lol im hoping to have bathing himself no later than 5

My daughter is 3 and I assumed I’ll be bathing her myself but she insisted she bathes herself. So I’m there with her making sure she bathes properly.

So I started them young like 3-4 showing them how to do it also telling them as they get older so while they do it themselves I demonstrate outside the tub

With my daughter I I would just take a dry towel and for example and wipe my arm and have her mimic what I do

Started from about 2 years but obviously I would do most of it. Now at 3 & 5 they can do it almost by themselves but the 3yo still needs lots of help. He just has the right idea for everything. My 5yo I just check she got her conditioner out all the way and that she remembered to clean her body.

My 5 and 6 yr old boys wash their own bodies but I do their hair. We don’t do baths unless they’re sick which is rare. My 6 yr old is autistic.

I bathed them in the bath tub until about 5 then I let them.do.it but I still wash their hair my oldest is 9 & he just now doing showers solo

🤣🤣🤣 Singing the songbirds such a good idea my kids would love that and thank so much for the advice I was worried I was starting to early so its Good to know Im on the right path ❤️
