I just don’t think you can recapture the same magic. It already looks too squeaky clean and try hard. Even the original office barely worked in the seasons without Steve Carell.

Make a show with the same setup "interview style" but have it be centered around the maintenance staff at luxury apartments. The stories write themselves honestly

the trailer feels like an adam sandler movie. just every line feels like a line from a show... the office was really good at capturing what it's like to have a natural office space with genuine reactions.

I mean NBC/ABC have been trying to recreate the office with a ton of different approaches. Superstore, Abbott Elementary, St. Denis Medical etc

The office already went from great to mid once Michael left. The show was Michael. The worst thing that ever happpened to the Office was Pam and Jim getting together and the show continuing.

It looks too much like a *set* like I can see that an art team curated the set and wardrobe. But the office felt like they just walked into a random office building and started filming. It felt real. The footage also felt kind of low quality in a way that actually made it feel like it was being filmed by indie filmmakers making a documentary. This feels too polished.
