I didn’t love Dark Matter but so many people like it, so I’m wondering what I’m missing…

Blake Crouch is AMAZING. If you haven’t done so already, check out his Wayward Pines trilogy!!!! I was hooked.

Intuition :
i thought dark matter was…fine. perhaps it felt more exciting when it came out, but now that we’re so inundated with multiverse stories, it felt pretty trite to me. also found the women characters to be lacking depth and merely tools to show the lead character as desirable.

The Badonkadonks💙 :
Blake Crouch is the GOAT. His Wayward series is amazing!!! Although I wish I could delete “Run” from my memory. Idk how I made it through that one, so brutal.

Dark Matter had so much potential bro 😭 the writing was just horrendous. it was so basic and never dove deep enough. bunch of "i look at my son. i tell him i love him. i give him a hug" RAHHHH GIVE ME BETTER WRITING 😭😭 and the second half of the book was just so dragged out. the first half of the book just had so much potential 😔

Tender of the flesh has been on my holds list for a while. It comes in rotation and I pop it back in my reserve list. I dunno why but I can't bring myself to read it but I'm so intrigued
