I’m full on in the trenches with my 9wk mini dachshund. She’s been with us for 12 days now and it’s definitely a lot of patience n consistency on my part. My biggest thing is I’m trying to make the play pin a fun, safe place and once I put her in there n if I gotta walk away for a split second, she completely loses it. Like torture cries. So I feel like I live within this play pin now lol when I’m trying to get her to settle down 😂 I chose not to train her to potty inside so I think we got a solid going outside schedule going on but the whole separation anxiety is full blast I think but I know she’s just a baby and still learning our area and us. I’m just praying with time the torture screams will stop if I ever have to step away.

My puppy is NOT EVEN 8w old. She knows SIT, PAW, FOCUS, COME/HERE and stays on the leash staying beside me not infront or behind me BECAUSE OF UR TIPS ! THANK YOU. (Also, shes doing so well with potty training)

We’re having an issue with the crate, we did everything in your guide for crate training, he’s 9 weeks old, we only got him a week ago. He’s perfectly fine in it at night but once he’s in it during the day he freaks out. But I have to go back to work literally tomorrow so he needs to be crated

I love this trying to figure out our schedule. I teach so my partner will be in charge of schedule during day. We wake up at 6 to get myself and son ready for school. So I’ve been taking Leo outside to pee right when we get up then make breakfast and let it cool for 10 min. Then he eats and my partner takes him out. Then I told her play/training. Then potty. Then nap. Does that make sense to keep the system of potty train/play/potty/nap

we brought our puppy home at 4 months of age… i’m scared we should’ve gotten her sooner cause she’s learned a lot of stuff from her litter… if you could do a routine for that age i would appreciate it♥️☺️

we have a 16 week old puppy and follow a lot of your strategies… my biggest issue is that we can’t seem to foster independence at all. She loses her noodle if I leave the room … any strategies for this? I love her but other than when it is nap time (in crate) she seems to need to be beside me at all times… no one else will do!!!

I have a 10 week old and he was very sweet and quiet at first. A week and half later he’s biting constantly. I have bite marks and bruises all over my hands and my ankles. I literally have an infection I’m on antibiotics for. He has so many chew toys, plays outside a lot and used to cuddle. Now he just barks and bites when he wants something. Trying to train him I’m hoping with time and training he will get better. My poor arms are just wrecked. Is this something they can help fix with puppy classes?

Ouch. 🥺 I did let my puppy cry for several minutes in her crate - then she started making g an awful noise. Now she will sleep with me tonight to let her know she’s not alone. 🥺

We’ll be getting our first puppy tmr 😭 it was decided last minute by parents but we’re all really excited!!! He is two months old. It would rlly help if you can make a specific routine so that we can use it as a guideline 🥹

With crate training, do you set up the playpen with the crate in a common area at first and then move the crate out and into the bedroom once they are trained?
