how did you keep your skin away from being infected while doing NMT? i tried NMT the past month slightly modified (I wash my face every night with face wash and just don’t put anything during the day). I did this gradually from once every two days to complete NMT every single day, and got infected within 3 weeks immediately 😭 so I had to recourse to antibiotics and steroid cream. i feel like i am just moving in circles and don’t know which way is the right way to move forward

skipped showering here as well, the water hurt so bad during my worst flares, felt like acid on the skin. and the itch and dryness after even a cold shower due to the water stripping the little bit of oil my skin made was just so hard to endure... i did indeed also only wash the most important parts (arm pits, private area, feet) but yup, scared of showering was real. I now do still shower cold and as short as possible, but overcoming the fear of showering now I am healing more and more. still not able to wash my hair as often as I want due to it flaring my face but same as you, i am lukcy my hair doesnt get oily quickly. tsw is such a humbling disease... really felt like i lost my dignity in the worst stages...
