I'll be so for real, Deadlock is just extremely confusing in general. The type of learning curve that would probably take at minimum 3 months to find a comfortable base level, at the best. At least, in my bad at learning new games opinion.

I found the best method is drawing a picture showing what to do then playing out the game while sharing your screen and playing while commentating but also ask them questions too like “What should I do next” sometimes they’ll give the wrong answer and you correct them but other times just do as they say and show them the result of it then explain why it wasn’t a good choice but also tell them the bright side if there is any

deadlock is NOT new player friendly. even if they simplify ability damage, gun damage, spirit and bullet resist, MOBAs are some of the most difficult games to play (correctly), and the only people playing deadlock are those that are somewhat decent or better.

Deadlock is literally the easiest moba to understand and get into. You don’t even have to make builds yourself you literally pick one from the browser and just buy the items. The map is a little confusing but that’s it. If you can’t get it after a week just wrap it up 🥀

Nah bro I recently started playing deadlock and I have lots of experience on league and some on overwatxh, valorant, etc. THIS IS A CONFUSING GAME. VERY MUCH SO. Anybody who hasn’t played a moba I’d guess it’d take WEEKS to understand. I’m also just not great at fps.

if you're very knowledgeable then have them record a game or two every other week and do a review of the games together. they'll build game sense much faster that way.
