To add to the tire repair kit…run flat tires. They are expensive, hard to get and can’t be repaired.

At this point I want to freeze car development to about 2015 or so.

What happens if the infotainment breaks after warranty is up? Say you have a car that is perfect mechanically, but the screen goes out.

I hate not having a spare tire. If I have to use the repair kit, it ruins the tire sensor. Cost to replace the repair cartridge and the tire sensor can run about $300.

Oh my God YES! I hate that theyre Teslafying everything now by putting a big iPad in the middle… it’s lazy and it’s just asking to malfunction faster. Big turn off for me. 😫🙄

I hate that I only have a "tire mobility kit." I want to get a spare but its a whole thing. I've only needed a spare once in 20yrs tho lol. I do however love that my car has a good mix of screens & physical buttons for a 2023.

Legislators need to prohibit these unfair practices. Hopefully AAA and companies with clout will step in. Corporate greed has gone off the deep end.

Disagree with the spare tire and big screen. I’ve needed to use a spare tire twice in my 25 years of driving. I’d rather have the extra trunk space and reduced weight. And for the big screen, it’s just there for touch screen CarPlay and reverse camera for me. As long as they don’t make it the exclusive way to do regular functions like climate and seats.

What new car doesn’t come with roadside rescue ? I don’t have a care that I don’t have full sized spare versus losing 1/2 my trunk

AAA came out last week and put on my spare tire because of a bolt in my tire. Looking to buy new car and adding does it have a spare tire to my list.

Not only do people not have the skills change a tire. They’re not physically strong enough to change a 22 inch rim and tire that weighs 88 pounds.

Agree with all except low profile tires. Still love the look, just not always the ride

I am ambivalent both about the lack of spare tires and the inclusion of inflator kits—“false confidence kits”—which only sometimes work with simple punctures and rarely help with tire failures that are followed by the secondary damage from just a few hundred yards of flat-tire driving. There are already too many people who don’t know how to replace a wheel, stuck on the highway, giving it their very first try when they really should be calling AAA or equivalent. Changing a tire is nothing for me. But, having seen a few cars taken out by inattentive drivers, I won’t do it on the highway by myself if there is any possible alternative. Even if they give you a full-size spare, the flimsy jack they give you is an accident waiting to happen. And, using a spare assumes that you’re strong enough to unbolt the tire in the field with the supplied tool after some idiot at the tire store or dealership has torqued down the lug nuts/bolts with an impact wrench. I use an extra long breaker bar, and sometimes still struggle. Also, for many, that they also know what and where the weird anti-theft adapter is and how to use it.
