@fokumlah1: #kenyantiktok🇰🇪 just recently, Kenya took another loan. This time from Japan — 25 billion yen. That’s about 4.7 billion Kenyan shillings. The money is meant for green automotive technologies and to fix massive power transmission losses. Honestly, that sounds good on paper. But here’s the reality: as of August 2025, Kenya’s debt is already at about 66.9% of their GDP. Let me break that down: for every 100 shillings Kenya produces, almost 67 shillings is already owed as debt. That is a huge burden. Because when debt is this high, the government spends almost half of its revenue on just paying interest and repaying loans. And what’s left? Very little for things like schools, hospitals, or job creation. So what does the government do? They turn to taxes. Higher VAT on food, higher levies on fuel, taxes on salaries, and even digital services. And who feels this the most? The people. Everyday Kenyans. Families struggling with higher food prices, higher transport costs, higher electricity bills. Businesses can’t access affordable loans because the government itself is borrowing heavily from local banks. That means fewer jobs and a slowing economy. So while new loans sound like they’re helping the country, the truth is the ordinary Kenyan is paying the price every single day. And that’s why people are angry. That’s why they’re saying enough is enough. Because this isn’t just about numbers on a government report — it’s about the fact that Kenyans are being taxed to the bone, living costs are skyrocketing, jobs are disappearing, and they don’t see where all this borrowed money is actually going. So yes, when I hear Kenyans demanding accountability and even calling for their president to step down, I get it. Because when debt is crushing the people instead of building the nation… the frustration is very real.” #ruto #africa #tiktokafrica #panafricanism @carolinewest34 @mrjoekenya @josah.spikes @𝐊𝐄𝐋 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 @diyeke @Afri Herbs @Telitely @PEOPLE'S VOICE UG @Frances Cordoms @Uncle K 🌍 @Black Orange 🍊 M.P🇿🇦

Debt is the legal way the West is colonizing Africa because our lands are collateral. if a country can't service debt, they own the land or will use IMF & WB to coerce.
