@arshak_makichyan: I lived in Moscow for most of my life, and I never felt safe there. As an Armenian, as a minority, I always felt threatened, and the situation has only worsened for non-Russian people. I was also an activist, and the level of surveillance was unbearable. Cameras with AI recognition track you everywhere, even at the entrance of every building. You cannot escape the state watching you at every step. I had to flee Moscow 3 years ago. Until today I suffer nightmares about the police. And I am the lucky one…many of my friends are now in prison. But of course, if you work for Russian propaganda, Moscow becomes the safest city in the world.

I lived in Moscow until I was 16, and those were the most brutal, racist, and violent years of my life. Being visibly Armenian and have a non Russian last name, meant constant bullying from both students and teachers. Moscow might seem safe, but for anyone who doesn’t fit the brainwashed norm, it is not.

Yes the genocide happened but by crying it won’t make it unhappened stop this victim role it’s not a good thing you have to understand this. Garegin Nzhdeh (our biggest national hero) also believed that adopting a “victim mentality” weakened national spirit and left the nation vulnerable. He hated the victim role/mentality, Instead, he urged Armenians to embrace strength, responsibility, and self-reliance, arguing that dignity and survival came not from pity but from struggle and active defense of the homeland.

I would advise everyone to just go check google street view and decide for themselves. Coz Moskva is getho as soon as you leave the central part of the city. Ruins, streets like after war and huge population of immigrants ( mostly Muslims and Mongolians).
