I taught 4th and had several elopers one year. I would wear my running shoes every day with every outfit. I wasn’t losing ANYBODY. 🤣

As a special education teacher. I’m constantly on the move. I need to be able to run, do planks, push ups (( OT goals and kids like to challenge the teacher or aides)) I do a lot of teaching on floor while a student regulates. I have elopers. Wheel Chair users and big behavior kids. Business casual simply does not let me do my job. 🤷🏻♀️

I’m in a self contained classroom, I wear leggings every day. I have to run with kids, chase them, keep them from harming themselves, be able to get on the floor and crawl with them, change them, feed them…I need to be able to MOVE.

lol I dress cute and then someone brings a letter to my room about a HFM outbreak! like the classroom is a great place to dress cute and fun and in business casual IF IT SUITS YOUR KIDS AND CLASSROOM AND SCHOOL CULTURE

Yup. Leggings and a T-shirt for me teaching pre-K from my family home. In between diapers changing and baby feeding, I'm playing monster and running after kids. No blazers for me!

it’s a different convo for us cause i’m a daycare teacher but at my center we are supposed to wear leggings / joggers and t shirts to work that’s our uniform so we can MOVE

Absolutely! When I was a preschool teacher I wore scrubs. They were cute cartoon scrubs most of the time. The kids loved them and they were easy to keep clean.

a lot of times gym teachers and teachers that move around a lot like what u were doing wear leggings also I have had plenty of teachers wear leggings with a longer shirt and I never thought it was weird

i teach on a 60 acre farm i wear leggings and a shirt almost everyday, occasionally i’ll throw a dress on for an event but im always wearing leggings underneath.
