they need to revamp the entire child support system now!!! it DOES NOTHING to these deadbeat parents who don't pay but quick to jump on those who paid but then fall on some hard times and fall slightly behind. its ridiculous!! ive seen this from both sides and it's infuriating.

I haven’t looked into the new laws yet but what are they planning on doing about the parents that aren’t paying the court ordered child support? My kids are grown so it doesn’t affect me but there are so many people not paying their court ordered child support and while it’s not right to keep the kids from either parent, it’s also not right that one parent is doing most if not all the work and the other parent does next to nothing to help

This is a great law. Some custodial parents use the kid as a way for revenge and/or control.

Not all dads are bad fathers. My x has our 2 kids and I am the other parent. He does amazing with them and their step mom is a blessing to all

Last Friday I went to pick up my 1 year old son for the 14th time since temporary orders and for the 14th time Mother did not show. After mind wrestling with the officer at the Grand Prairie Police Department about whether it’s a civil or criminal matter, the supervisor finally allowed me to do an affidavit and complaint. I gave a certified copy of the order. I filed a criminal complaint under penal code 25.03. Not a new law. Subsections (b) and (d) were amended and designations such as “custodial” and “non-custodial” were replaced with “parent”. This is because only the custodial parent could get the non-custodial parent arrested under this law. Now it goes both ways.

My husband bm keep moving when we try to serve her he havent seen his son in over 10 yrs. The law is not on Dad side he is a active father in all his kids life expect his one child because of the mother
