there’s a chance it’s because of the jesus, when i did housekeeping for an airbnb i would always avoid touching the religious items without asking the owner before hand, but at the same time i wasn’t in highschool so idk how the pros do it

Honestly please be specific with your cleaner what you want, we have set time frames to get things done and every client has a different wants for a clean, if you want all personal items wiped down tell them prior/ when booking. Alternatively the price you pay is a good indicator to the style of clean £15ph vs £25ph. I’m a self employed cleaner and most doing it self employed do genuinely want our clients to be happy with our services so for anyone reading this just communicate with your cleaner especially first time cleans, it’s our first time meeting you and your home xxx

as a prof cleaner, I get it. but if somebody is willing to clean my bathroom and the kitchen, whew I’d be grateful. I know for me personally I do not touch personal items meaning I try not to pick up your small nick nacs and things on nightstands for professional reasons.

I’m sorry no. I was a cleaner for half a year for 2 different companies and have had OCD since I was young and I have ALWAYS cleaned something like it was mine. You clean top to bottom AND underneath😭 I hate that cleaning companies will hire anyone 🥲

As a former professional housecleaner, I stopped hiring ppl. I do it myself and pay myself when I do a deep cleaning, then I spend the money however I want. I had one lady who did great but after she got comfortable she started cutting major corners 😫 and I had to discontinue the service.
