The saddest part here is, she fails to recognize that Pat McGrath can easily emulate the makeup OP thinks is beautiful. McGrath is an artist. She can probably do a much better job than OP can lol. OP chooses to limit herself to an aesthetic she thinks is “beautiful”. It’s a shame coz shes almost insinuating that monolids aren’t beautiful? So what if western fashion seem to prefer monolids (what’s wrong with that? 😵💫). Anywayyy, there’s no depth in her “analysis”. It’s all projection.

Let’s say Pat McGrath decided to hire only models with wider eyes with double eyelids and tried to change the features rather than emphasize it. If nobody would have an issue with that how does that reflect on society and how they treat ethnic features.

Douyin makeup as its used now (from what I see) is rooted in body dysmorphia and extreme performance. God forbid a makeup artist wanna enhance existent features in many different kinds of people instead of putting them in crisis 😭. Douyin also heavily relies on filters, the style is largely useless irl and doesn’t work for every face
