Apple pie cinnamon rolls 🍎 When apple pie meets cinnamon rolls. These might be the SOFTEST cinnamon rolls i’ve made yet. Seriously so good when served warm!! After being stored in the fridge, simply microwave for 30 seconds :)  Makes 9 rolls in a 8x8 inch square pan For the Apple Pie Filling/Topping (USE ONLY 400g for the cinnamon roll filling. And the remainder as a topping after the rolls are baked): * 650g apples (about 3-4 apples), peel cored and small diced * 3 tbsp butter  * Juice of 1 lemon  * 110g brown sugar, packed  * 1/4 tsp salt * 2 teaspoon cinnamon * Cornstarch slurry: 2 1/2 tsp cornstarch plus 2 1/2 tsp water For the Dough * 180g milk whole is best * 1 1/8 teaspoons (6 grams) active dry yeast  * 1 teaspoon honey * 1 large egg * 1 large egg yolk * 75g sugar * ½ teaspoon salt * 410g bread flour plus extra for kneading and rolling * 60g unsalted butter, softened  For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:  * 64g Unsalted butter, softened * 95g Brown sugar * 2 tsp Ground cinnamon * 1/8 tsp Ground nutmeg ***3 tbsp heavy cream (for pouring over the rolls. It is optional)  Cinnamon Cream Cheese Icing: * 56g unsalted butter, room temperature  * 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature * 1/2 tsp cinnamon  * 2-4 tbsp heavy cream or milk * 100g icing sugar  After the rolls have proofed and is doubled it size, pour the heavy cream over the rolls. Then bake at 350 for 28-35 minutes or until golden brown all around. Or until the internal temperature reaches at or above 190F. Serve warm and top with remaining apple pie filling.
