the last job I quit I gave 3 days notice. after 5 yrs of service running the warehouse and doing the lead man job for 3 yrs they hired someone off the street to take the lead man job. he was there 2 months when they announced that he would be taking the job so I gave my notice in the meeting. I was already looking for a new job I was doing 99% of the work and not getting the recognition. once I quit the new guy lasted 3 weeks.. didn't know how to do the job. and wasnt prepared for the work load I left behind.

2wks is old school today if you give two wks the company usually just lets you go effective immediately. I just always email a letter of resignation so theres a paper trail that I quit so they cant put a termination on my record
