@justsomeguyinva: Welcome to #america where we’re all #broke - I’m genuinely starting to switch between what medications I need and keeping the lights on. I make good money and have good insurance. It’s almost like we aren’t supposed to get ahead anymore. Also, I did not vote for any of this so don’t come at me like that. #fypシ #fyp #2025
I can’t wait until we have to choose between diapers and my husband’s insulin! I’m so excited! I’m 27 weeks pregnant.

I have a continuous glucose monitor which is $70 a month after insurance. They come in 15 day monitors, I'm going 15 on, 15 off to stretch them. My migraine medicine is $1000 for 8 pills. I'm just dealing with the migraines. My birth control is $200 a month which I need to keep from growing cysts.

On the one hand: thyroid hormone is very cheap even without insurance. On the other hand: I can't afford the blood work to make sure my levels are okay and the dose is right. So we're currently flying by the seat of our pants with the cheap medication and hoping that 16 years of being on it is enough to know what feels right 🤷🏻♀

Not life saving meds but I'm currently rationing my narcolepsy meds because my insurance doesn't want to cover it. I've stopped taking it over the weekends and take a half dose for workdays. If I want to pay out of pocket, it's $16k a month. 🙃

I hoard all my meds and refill basically everything as soon as possible so I have extra for when things get worse :/ or for random insurance issues like I’m having rn, they just ~decided~ I haven’t met my deductible already even tho I paid way more than my out of pocket max and I’m waiting to be reimbursed

this won't work for everyone but a plus membership at sams club discounts alot of meds
and the yearly membership + med cost each month is still less than what my insurance charges

I only get by because insulin and test strips have been on preventative med lists and have been free. I also wearing infusion sets longer than I should so I don’t have to buy as many.
