She flew in from Texas trusting me with years of color history and one goal: to finally blend her previously colored hair into her beautiful natural silver. 🤍 I started by giving her a layered haircut, taking off about 3 inches to create a beautiful shag shape with softness, movement, and texture. Before beginning the color correction, I prepped her hair with K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mist to help strengthen and protect the hair throughout the chemical process. Then I worked in very fine sections, carefully lightening only the previously colored areas, while protecting and leaving her natural silver completely untouched. My goal was to remove as much of the old warmth as safely possible and create a clean, pale canvas that would blend beautifully with her natural gray. Once the lightening process was complete, I customized the toner to neutralize the remaining yellow and warmth and create a soft, dimensional silver and gray finish. I finished the service with K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask to help restore strength, softness, and elasticity after the color correction. The final result is a seamless transition from her natural silver roots through the lengths and ends, with beautiful dimension, movement, and shine.
