I have Sjögren's & Endo. Diagnosed in December with Sjögren's. If your eyes start to dry out, do NOT try and hold off with just Preservative free eye drops. It can be the difference between severe, debilitating dry eyes and being functional.

i’ve been diagnosed with sjogrens since i was 14. im 26 now & have to get 3 crowns because my enamel has eroded. do everything you can to help the dry mouth!

I have not officially been diagnosed with this, but I have chronic dry eyes, dry sinuses, dry mouth, dry lips, dry skin, but I also have hypothyroidism. I had a lip biopsy done, but it was inconclusive so I have no idea.

My son is 6 and was diagnosed in march. We fought for about 2.5 years. Took a lip biopsy and parotid gland irrigation to get the diagnosis. It’s more common in females and less common in children.

I may have missed it if you mentioned it, but I would find a Lyme literate doctor and get comprehensive Lyme testing like igenex or vibrant. And look into SOT if positive!

My mother had RA as well as sjogrens and had to use eye drops daily and then her salivary glands stopped producing and she lost all of her teeth

What type of doctor do you see for your autoimmune diseases? I have hashimotos and believe I might have sjorgrens as well. Most of the doctors I’ve been too make me feel like it’s in my head.

Sjogrens is a systematic autoimmune disease that can literally affect every organ and part of the body. I’m so sorry I was diagnosed in 2012 after a decade!

My grandma had sjogrens, her dentist is the one that recommended she seek out a diagnosis. She wasn’t diagnosed until much later in life in her 70s I think, but she likely had symptoms she ignored for years and years. One of the worst complications she had at the end of her life was cirrhosis of the lungs.

I was diagnosed when I was 22, biggest issue has been dry eyes but also lost my teeth due to the dry mouth in a period of 1.5 years after never having a cavity ever....the joys of sjogrens
