babe take it from someone who made the mistake....don't rinse the element thing from the bottom of the machine in water and allow ANY of the lint to go down the drain....when I tell you it sets like CEMENT in the pipes 🤦🏻♀ let it dry out and hoover the lint out (use a radiator cleaning brush to push it out or blast it out with a hairdryer and hoover the lint up)

I have a washer dryer, (haven’t yet used the dryer) BUT I still don’t actually know if I have a filter…😂maybe for our safety I might check all over tomorrow

that second item you removed isn't a filter for lint i think its a heat exchanger to get the water from the drum to the water tank

I've had my dryer for a year now and it's a condenser one. Always remove the lint off the trap every single time, it takes 2 seconds, take the water tray out every few washes depending how full it is and check the bottom filter every 6 months

OKAY!! everyone - I just cleaned ours a couple weeks ago and you MUST leave it out to dry because I didn’t and I have had to pay £180 for a new heat element!

This is why we switched to a heat pump tumbler dryer - way safer and more cost effective.
