i don’t hate Yuta just for the sake of hating, I genuinely don’t like how he’s written. From the very beginning, he feels like a character who’s just handed everything without earning it. He starts off with absurd cursed energy, immediately gets labeled special grade, and has access to broken abilities like Copy and Reverse Cursed Technique, yet we barely see him actually train, struggle, or refine those abilities on-screen. Even when Satoru Gojo points out that his cursed energy control is sloppy, we never really see that get fixed it just feels like he comes back stronger because the story says so. The whole situation with Rika makes it worse, because in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 most of what he accomplishes is with her help or with others carrying him, yet after she’s gone, he somehow regains special grade status and keeps all that power anyway, mostly off-screen. What really bothers me is that other prodigies in the series like Gojo, Sukuna, or even Higuruma actually show why they’re geniuses. We see their thought process, their breakthroughs, and how they refine their abilities. Yuta doesn’t really get that. His strength feels like it’s built on statements, hype, and off-screen development rather than actual demonstrated growth. That’s why I prefer Yuji Itadori so much more. Yuji is the complete opposite of everything he has, he earns. We see him struggle, adapt, and grow in real time, whether it’s learning how to control cursed energy, landing Black Flashes, or going toe-to-toe with Sukuna. His progression feels natural and believable, so even when he gets stronger, it makes sense. That’s also why I don’t get how people call Yuji a “statement man” when most of his strength is actually shown, while Yuta gets hyped off titles and implications. To me, it just feels like Yuta represents unearned, off-screen power that gets glazed by the story and the fandom, while Yuji represents real development
