🥩 ONE OF THE VERY BEST SALISBURY STEAK 🛒 Ingredients For the patties: • 1½ lbs ground beef • ½ cup breadcrumbs • 1 egg • 2 tbsp ketchup • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce • 1 tsp garlic powder • ½ tsp onion powder • Salt & black pepper to taste For the mushroom gravy: • 1 tbsp butter • 1 tbsp olive oil • 1 small onion, sliced • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced • 2 cups beef broth • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry) • Salt & pepper to taste Serve with: Creamy mashed potatoes 🤍 👩🏽‍🍳 Instructions 1️⃣ Make the patties In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire, and seasonings. Form into oval patties. 2️⃣ Sear Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside. 3️⃣ Make the gravy In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onions & mushrooms. Cook until soft and golden. 4️⃣ Add broth Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire. Simmer 5 minutes. 5️⃣ Thicken Stir in cornstarch slurry. Let simmer until thickened. 6️⃣ Finish cooking Return patties to skillet.
