The only “vacations” I’ve had this year was an emergent surgery that I only took 3 weeks instead of 6 off in February and a 1week hospitalization for pneumonia a couple months ago🙃

I take a 30 day break between all of my travel contracts!!🤣 3 months on, one off is the way I like it. Plus it gives me time to pick where I’m going next 💁🏼♀️

I'm almost 20 years in. Over 20 in healthcare all together. The hospitals don't care if you need a break. That's the only thing I've learned.

You best believe I use allllll my PTO and I never ever ever pick up shifts. I will always prioritize myself. I work to live not live to work.

Omg. After three years I went to ICU and then ER trauma Bay only. I needed the adrenaline. Med surg was the worst. Then travel nursing after 10 years. But we all go through it. Starting out we always get the crap shoot unit. The key is move around. Try new hospital and new floor.
