I mean...considering that if your mom saw any of your patient's info while in there, you could get in trouble for a hipaa violation, your mom's definitely in the wrong. not to mention potential verbal breaches of dr/patient confidentiality.

I guess it depends on the nature of what was being discussed. There are certain issues where yes I would be very upset as a patient. Privacy laws have been violated.
