The L&D nurse I had with my youngest was hands down the reason I wanted to be a Labor nurse when I graduated from nursing school. I was able to make that happen 5 years later and I even got to work along side her and have her train me! It was so special!

Her name was Amie. She said an hour and a half over her shift to make sure I was okay after a hemorrhage after my daughter came out. I’ll never forget her. Never felt so supported, loved, seen and cared for.

My night nurse when I was in the recovery room was amazing. She was a seasoned nurse in her 60s. A vivacious black woman from France. She was so sweet and so good to me and she woke up my ex very harshly when he wouldn’t wake up to help me 😂

I often think about the 2 nurses that assisted me during my first vbac and the 1 nurse that assisted me in my second vbac and believed me when I said I would progress quickly.. ♥

I had 3 c sections. Last one was 2 weeks ago. Our anesthesiologist was amazing. He told us what was happening on the side of the curtain, told us how proud he was, how good I was doing, etc. he was meant for his job.

I’m I the only who doesn’t remember any of her nurses? 😬 I was left alone most of the time and when it was finally time to push I paid no attention to the nurses I just wanted baby out 😬

I think about the nurse I had with my second son sooo much . I even talked about her to my nurse with my third . She was a literary angel on earth. Forever thankful for that women .

I think about the nurse that stood in front of me and held me up while I was getting my spinal before c-section all of the time. She kept me so distracted and helped me breathe through it. I had already had the epidural from a failed labor so I was completely numb from waist down and couldn’t hold myself up.
