A restaurant I used to work at stopped carrying cherry Pepsi. This customer came in asking for it. I told him we no longer had it, and he was annoyed. The owner happened to be walking by, overheard what was going on, and sent me to the gas station to buy him a bottle of cherry Pepsi.

I genuinely don’t understand why customers ask you to go to a store and get the thing that they want. That would require you to leave the register and potentially close down the store just to buy the cream cheese. By the time you get back it could be an hour. Is a customer willing to wait an hour for cream cheese?
