I absolutely love the updates they did in the swamp and the way they decided to decorate this year. It’s so fun. The fireflies and the disco whales are my favorite. We have been annual pass holders for almost 5 years. WOW holds a special place in my heart, because I got to help care for the educational department animals before they closed in 2007. My ex stepmom worked in the corporate department which blessed me with the opportunity to go behind the scenes to volunteer and hang out with the keepers. I was crushed when they closed for 10 years, but it was so worth it. I do miss getting to do volunteer work that no one else had done. It was magical building mutual trust with so many different species from birds of prey to various reptiles and mammals that I never thought I would get close to, let alone care for. It was a wonderful place back then, but even more amazing now.
