I went to his bar on Ventura called firefly. This was maybe 2003ish. Place was really busy and only seat left was at the end of the bar kinda out of the way. A guy in a baseball cap down low was at the end seat. I sat down ordered a drink and glanced over and it was Clooney. Just said Hey, how are you? He said hello and I turned back toward the bar and left him alone. About 10 minutes go by and he strikes up a convo. Ended up sitting there and bullshitting with him for an hour. Nicest guy you could meet. Genuine and funny.
