Não adianta falar em combater o tráfico, o crime de colarinho branco e as grandes organizações criminosas enquanto faltam policiais, estrutura e capacidade investigativa. Defendo o fortalecimento da Polícia Civil e da Polícia Federal e estou disposto a discutir propostas para a segurança pública — inclusive aquelas das quais inicialmente discordo. Mas uma coisa é fundamental: segurança também se constrói com um Estado presente. É polícia e investigação, mas também é educação, cultura, emprego, saúde, moradia, urbanismo e desenvolvimento chegando onde hoje o Estado não chega. Não podemos continuar repetindo as mesmas soluções e esperando resultados diferentes.
